Vinashin Invests in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone
The Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) has submitted the Binh Dinh People’s Committee its project developed in the Nhon Hoi economic zone. Accordingly, Vinashin will build a factory to build and repair 10,000 tonne ships in the first phase, and 100,000 tonne ships in the second phase, a seaport with a capacity of six million tonnes per year, a port for receiving and supplying petrol and oil, and a new urban area, capable of hosting around 5,000 workers, with 350 houses for cadres and experts. Vinashin’s project is part of a programme on developing the shipbuilding industry, approved by the Government.
