On May 18, 2005, Dunlopillo Vietnam - a member company of SIME DARBY Group, inaugurated its new factory in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Zone. The factory covers an area of 1,500 square meters with a total investment of USD2,5 million. It is expected to manufacture 120,000 products per year and employ 150 workers.
Dunlopillo came to Vietnam in 2002 and has become a famous international brand name in this country after 5 years. At present, 60% of the company’s products in Vietnam are exported to ASEAN countries, the U.S. and Britain, and the rest are domestically consumed.
