Intel Vietnam Announces 'Intel Teach to the Future'
Intel Vietnam, a leading supplier of PCs, network and communication products, in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Training on December 6, 2005, announced a nationwide implementation of a new programme called ‘Intel Teach for the Future.’
The programme was developed based on a model which has been tested to provide teachers with methods, location and resources to add technology into their teaching plans and integrate them into their teaching materials. This is part of the ‘Intel Innovation in Education’ drive to improve the quality of education in mathematics and science and technology, thus helping students to develop their creativity on a higher scale, so they would be able to succeed in a knowledge economy.
Established in 2000, the programme has trained over three million teachers in 36 countries. In Vietnam, the programme was implemented on a trial basis from 2003 with 2,340 teachers attending the programme.
