Vinatex Rep Offices to Be Opened in Germany and Hungary
Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) plans to establish representative offices and showrooms in Germany and Hungary, extending its transaction network worldwide.
In Germany, the key market, a representative office and showroom will be located in Dusseldorf - Hannover, where many big European importers and retailers gather for fashion trade fairs. The office will conduct market surveys to understand customer taste, introduce Vinatex’ products, establish business relations, and seek orders from EU countries, one of Vietnam’s two main markets.
Vinatex also plans to establish a transaction office in Budapest, Hungary in September 2006. It is expected to be set up at ASIA Centre owned by Austrian Strabag.
Vinatex hopes the overseas offices will help it overcome shortcomings in market access. Regarding the domestic market, Vinatex will set up two centres specialising in providing material for textiles and garments in Hanoi and HCM City.
The HCM City authority has agreed to allocate 5ha for the centre, while Hanoi’s authority has allocated 4ha. They are currently under the design process.
