PVI Insurance Named Finalist for “General Insurance Company of the Year” at AIIA 2026

PVI Insurance Corporation has been named a finalist in the "General Insurance Company of the Year" category at the 2026 Asia Insurance Industry Awards (AIIA). Notably, The Vietnamese insurer joins major regional brands, including MSIG Singapore and Allianz Ayudhya.

The 2026 Asia Insurance Industry Awards received nearly 185 entries across 16 categories, with only 49 organizations and individuals selected as finalists, reflecting the intense competition at one of the premier insurance awards programs in Asia.

According to the published list, the finalists for "General Insurance Company of the Year" this year include PVI Insurance and prominent non-life industry players, such as Singapore-based MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd, part of MS&AD Insurance Group, and Thailand-based Allianz Ayudhya, part of Allianz Group. Other award categories feature major Asian insurance and reinsurance brands, including AIA, HSBC Life, Fubon Life, Munich Re, RGA, and Allianz Asia Pacific. PVI Insurance’s inclusion alongside these names reflects its growing competitiveness and strengthening position among Vietnamese insurers in the international market.

Second consecutive year among the finalists

This is the second consecutive year PVI Insurance has reached the final stage in the same category after reaching the Top 3 in 2025. Its continued presence among the finalists places PVI Insurance among prominent Asian non-life insurers, amid increasingly comprehensive evaluation criteria and strong regional competition.

Organized by Asia Insurance Review, 2026 marks the 30th edition of the Asia Insurance Industry Awards. Over three decades, AIIA has become a leading specialized insurance awards program in the region, featuring participation from insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and financial services organizations across Asian markets.

AIIA categories evaluate companies and individuals across various aspects, from operational performance, governance capabilities, innovation, and service quality to contributions to the industry and community. Among these, "General Insurance Company of the Year" is dedicated to non-life insurers with outstanding achievements and comprehensive operational capabilities.

From domestic leadership to a growing regional presence

The AIIA 2026 finalist recognition builds on a solid foundation of development established by PVI Insurance over many years. The enterprise currently leads the Vietnamese non-life market in market share while demonstrating strengths in areas requiring high technical capability and risk management, including energy, marine, property and engineering, liability, motor, personal insurance, and large-scale insurance programs.

Standing on the same list as brands like MSIG Singapore and Allianz Ayudhya further strengthens the Vietnamese insurer’s profile among regional players.

The final outcomes of the 30th Asia Insurance Industry Awards will be announced later this year. Reaching the final evaluation round provides PVI Insurance with an opportunity to further strengthen its brand and demonstrate the competitiveness of Vietnamese insurance enterprises in the Asian market.
