EA TIEU Coffee Plantation with Sweet Coffee
Ea Tieu Coffee Plantation was formerly Vietnam-Germany Farm No. 6. The main functions of the plantation are to grow and process coffee for export, trading materials for coffee cultivation and processing. The farm is also an active agent in ensuring political security, social order and national defence in the region.
The plantation was initially provided an area of 860 ha in Ea Tieu Commune, Krong Ana District, Dak Lak Province. As of 2004, it managed 806.54 ha of land and was granted the land use right certificate. Its arable soil is suitable for growing coffee trees while the location is good for trading farm produces, materials and fuels for coffee production and processing.
With the provided land fund, the plantation has 726.46 ha of coffee trees and 80.08 ha for water reserves and transport systems.
The coffee area is allocated to local farmers to maximise the highest productivity. Currently, the coffee trees have covered over 60 per cent of the area. The plantation also cooperated with local authorities to grow trees on more than 250 ha of bare hills.
To bring in more successes in the coming years, Ea Tieu Plantation will use the land fund and materials efficiently to increase productivity. It will also expand production and consumption services to play a wider role in the economic development of Ea Tieu Commune.
