Seven Used IT Groups Banned from Import
The Ministry of Posts and Telecom has issued the Decision No. 20/2006/QD-BBCVT on the prohibition of importing of second-hand IT products, including seven product groups:
Group 1: Typewriters, word processors
Group 2: Pocket calculators, recorders, re-processors and displays with calculating functions, statistical machines, post stampers, ticket selling machines and similar ones, and cashiers and cash registers.
Group 3: Automatic data processors and components; magnetic or optical readers, disk data recorders and disk data decoders.
Group 4: Electrical equipment for wired telephones or wired telegraphs, including wireless handsets and telecommunication equipment for wired wave network or digital wave network; video telephones.
Group 5: Transmitting devices for wireless telephone, wireless telegraph, wireless radio or television; sound recorders, television cameras, cameras for background image capture and other camera products.
Group 6: Television sets in television industry, with or without radios, recorders, sound/image reproducers; video monitors and video projectors.
Group 7: Insulated cables, insulated electrical conductors connected/unconnected with terminals; optical fibre cables connected/unconnected with electrical conductors/electrical terminals.
