Vinashin Joins Hands with FPT

The Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT) and the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) signed a three-year strategic alliance agreement in Hanoi on November 22.

 

Under the deal, FPT will help Vinashin develop the application of information technology (IT) in the latter’s affiliates in the 2006-10 phase; develop Vinashin high-tech park project at the Hoa Lac High-tech Zone; cooperate in finance and coordinate in university training.

 

Following the agreement, FPT will apply Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in Vinashin’s units to support enhancement of management skills in manufacturing, logistics, human resources, distribution, inventory, shipping, accounting and after-sale service. As for the financial field, Vinashin will help FPT mobilise investment capital.
