Vinashin to Build Urban Industrial Zones in Southern Vietnam
Vietnam Vinashin Business Group has received the green light to build two urban industrial zones in southern Dong Thap province, the Investment newspaper published by the Ministry of Planning and Investment said on March 19.
The two zones, to be located on a total area of 878 hectares, will be built with a ship building research center, residential, trade, entertainment parts, hospitals and schools, the newspaper noted without saying about the investment figure.
Vietnam will need about US$140 billion to develop its infrastructure networks from now till 2020 in a bid to become an industrialized nation, said VinaCapital Infrastructure Fund.
The country will build an additional 113 IPs from now to 2015 on a total area of 29,257 hectares, said government master development plans.
