Vietnam Debuts First Online IT University

The Ministry of Information and Communications and the Artificial Intelligence Co (AI) Vietnam April 9 held an opening ceremony of the first online information technology university (IT) in Vietnam.
 
At the ceremony, Ngo Doan Hop, Minister of Information and Technology praised the university of www.truongcongnghe.vn for having successfully ensured the important elements of education: lowest costs, time savings and most up-to-date methods of studying.
 
Hoang Ngoc Trung, director of AI Vietnam said that the university can attract one million students and become a venue for professionals from universities and foreign and national experts to deliver lectures on IT.
 
Mr. Trung won first prize in a Vietnamese talent contest with his methods of studying online and conducting examinations in 2007.
 
Last year, AI Vietnam and Vietnam Television Cable (VTC) launched the system and after only one year of operation, the university has attracted half one million students and become the most effective way of teaching IT. (Local sources)
