Vietnam Sets up Four Trade Offices Abroad
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed the Decision No. 553/QD-TTg dated May 4, 2009 to set up and strengthen Vietnamese chambers of commerce in the Middle East, America and Europe.
According to the decision, Vietnam will establish its trade offices in Israel, Venezuela, Panama and Arab Saudi and a branch unit in Houston, USA.
Specifically, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will join hands with relevant ministries to form a trade office in Tel Aviv, Israel and a chamber in Caracas, Venezuela in 2009. The ministry will strengthen personnel for EU - Belgium chamber of commerce in Brussels, Belgium.
In 2009 and 2010, the nation will found trade offices in Riyadh (Arab Saudi), in Panama City (Panama) and Houston branch in Houston, (USA), which will replace the branch in New York City.
