Vietnam's First Refinery to Produce 1M Tons of Gasoline in 2009
Vietnam’s first oil refinery Dung Quat is estimated to produce nearly one million tons of gasoline during this year, the state-run oil monopoly PetroVietnam group said.
In the year, the plant will also provide 1.3 million tons of diesel oil (DO) and 150,000 tons of fuel oil (FO) for the market.
Vietnam is waiting for the first domestically made gasoline of A90, A92, and A95 produced by the refinery early June.
To date, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil) has distributed nationwide over 9,000 tons of DO produced by the plant.
The US$3.1-billion refinery is expected to produce 66,000 tons of oil products in the second quarter of this year and 2.6 million tons during this year. (Investment)
