Vietnam Jan-Apr Exports To India +25.3 per cent At US$97.68M

Vietnam reportedly reaped US$97.68 million from goods exports to India in the first fourth months of this year, an on-year rise of 25.3 per cent, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
Some major exports with high growth included computers, electronics and spare parts of US$11.535 million, up 61.8 per cent on-year, coffee of US$5.623 million, (+6.28 per cent), pepper of US$3.359 million (+47.6 per cent), and tea of US$886,760 (+66 per cent).
 
Meanwhile, coal, rubber, textiles, footwear, and plastic products reported decreases in export values.
 
Vietnam's trade with India was estimated to have hit US$2.5 billion last year, surpassing US$2 billion set by for 2010, said a senior official of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. (vinanet, VNS)
