Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese Launched
Nearly 300 overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs attended the congress to set up Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese (BAOOV) in Hanoi recently.
The association, which includes hundreds of Vietnamese businesspeople and businesses working in countries across the world, will represent and protect rights of overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs.
Currently, around 400,000 overseas Vietnamese are living in 100 countries worldwide.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the BAOOV jointly held a trade and investment forum in Hanoi on August 10, and signed a cooperative agreement on business support programs for the 2009-2015 period.
