Vietnam Exports to Key Markets Forecast to Rise 7%-16% in 2010
Vietnam’s exports to its major markets such as the U.S. and Asia are projected to increase between 7% and 16% in 2010, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Vietnam is estimated to export US$26.14 billion worth of goods to Asia next year, up 8% from a year earlier, said the ministry.
The country will reap US$2.9 billion, US$3.6 billion and US$13.5 billion from goods exports to Oceania, Africa-Southwestern Asia and the U.S. in 2010, rising 7%, 9% and 16% on-year, respectively, estimated the MoIT.
Vietnam’s total exports to Europe will remain unchanged from this year’s estimated figure of US$13.8 billion, the ministry added.
The ministry forecast Vietnam will reap between US$57 billion and US$58 billion from exports this year, much lower from the revised-down target of US$64.57 billion. (Vietnam Economic Times)
