Public Funds in Vietnam Report Big Profits in Jan-Sept: LCF Rothschild

The England’s LCF Rothschild Emerging Market Funds Research said in its recent report that net asset value (NAV) of public equity funds operating in Vietnam rose significantly in the first nine months of this year thanks to rally of the stock market.
 
Vietnam Emerging Equity Fund took the lead with the highest growth of 99.4% in NAV during the period, followed by PXP Vietnam Fund with 93.2%.
 
HLG Vietnam Fund, Vietnam Emerging Market Fund, Manulife Progressive Fund and Vietnam Blue-chip Fund (VFMVF4) all saw a rise of more than 70% in their NAV.
 
On average, overseas-listed public funds investing in Vietnam has posted their NAV up 50.4%, funds investing in bonds up 5.7% and local funds up 53.6% so far.
 
The VN-Index has expanded 70.7% since the beginning of this year. (Stock Investment)
