A delegation of Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) made a survey on the development of information and technology industry in the U.S.
The team, led by MIC Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong, has discussed with the U.S. Department of Commerce on the plan to organize ICT Dialogue 2009 in Vietnam, and worked with U.S.-ASEAN Business Council and the federal CIO organization to clarify Vietnam’s IT policy.
It has also sought assistance from the World Bank and Microsoft Group on training IT human resources and building strategy to develop e-government.
At Stanford University, American professors said they want to join hands with the Vietnamese ministry to set up an IT university in the country, especially in training IT directors.
