Early Crop Causes Coffee Prices to Fall in Nov: Vicofa

Prices of coffee will decrease slightly in central highlands provinces next month, state media reported, citing the Vietnam Cocoa and Coffee Association (Vicofa).
 
The Vicofa said Oct 8 local companies starting collecting coffee of new crop is the major reason for the falls.
 
The association said the Ketsana typhoon’s torrential rains affected coffee output, but confirming coffee quality.
 
On Oct 5, robusta coffee was offered at VND23,700 and VND24,100 a kilogram, down VND300 per kilo from a week earlier. (Labor)
