Vietnam LPG Production Rises 39.3% to 362,200 Tons This Year

Vietnam is estimated to have produced 362,200 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) this year, up 39.3% from a year earlier, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
 
The Southeast Asian country’s LPG production in December is estimated to rocket 636.6% on year to 151,000 tons, the office said.
 
This year, the country is also estimated to have spent US$422 million on importing 753,000 tons liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), down 24.9% on year.
 
Vietnamese gas market has witnessed 10 price hikes since early 2009 and the retail prices currently fluctuate around VND276,000 per 12-kg gas cylinder. (GSO)
