Vietnam PM Approves Equitization of Petrolimex, VnSteel

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved equitization of Vietnam Steel Corporation (VnSteel) and Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex), the government said on its website.
 
After the equitization, the government will hold over 65% in VnSteel’s stake and at least 75% of Petrolimex stake. Petrolimex will change into a petroleum group after the equitization.
 
Thai Nguyen College of Mechanics and Metallurgy will not be included in equitization value of VnSteel, and will be managed by VnSteel.
 
The value of Viettronic Technology College will be separated from Petrolimex and the college will be managed by Vietnam Electronics and Informatics Corporation. (VGP)
