Vietnam Airlines Opens Hanoi - Rangoon Route
Vietnam Airlines opens a direct route from Hanoi to Rangoon, Myanmar, on March 2 with 4 flights per week on Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturday and Sunday using Fokker 70 aircraft to meet travelling demand.
On the occasion of opening, to encourage Vietnamese tourists to visit Myanmar, the national flag carrier is offering a discount fare of VND4.62 million (US$250) to Rangoon until the end of March.
By the end of 2010, the airlines will add an additional 5 flights a week, using A320 aircraft.
