Viglacera Land to Build Inland Container Port in North Vietnam
Viglacera Land has received the prime minister’s approval to build an inland container port at Yen Phong Industrial Park in Bac Ninh province in northern Vietnam.
The port aims to meet im-export demand of enterprises in the park and neighboring areas, particularly Samsung Electronics Vietnam’s first “made-in-Vietnam” mobile phone production plant.
The 651-hectare park which was set up by Vietnam Glass and Ceramics for Construction Corporation (Viglacera) in 2005, attracted 26 projects worth nearly US$900 million at the end of 2009.
Big investors are Sam Sung, Alpha Precision, Em tech, Flexcom, Samyoung Technologies, Daeho, Seshin Electronics, Seoul Metal and Hanwoo. (Investment)
