Work Starts on Bid 5, Second Phase of Cai Cui Port

Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) commenced construction on Bid 5 of the second phase of Cai Cui Port construction project in Tan Phu ward, Cai Rang district, Can Tho city on February 26, 2011. Major works will include the building of the container yard and warehouses, CFS warehouse, internal roads, external roads, gates, fence, power supply system, water supply system, water drainage system and fire control system.
 
This important bid will help meet cargo transporting demand at the port.
 
The second phase of Cai Cui Port is estimated to cost VND830 billion. The port will be capable of clearing 4.0- 4.5 million tonnes of cargo a year to meet rising demand from Hung Phu Industrial Park and Mekong Delta provinces.
