Meeting of Businesswomen
On July 5, 2004, Mrs. Lore Harp McGovern, a successful American businesswoman, wife of Mr Patrick J. McGovern, Founder and President of International Data Group (IDG), met with over 170 members of the Council of Businesswomen of VCCI. The visitor exchanged views with Vietnamese counterparts on various issues from business to politics, social affairs, education, health, and sports. Vietnamese businesswomen shared the same view that the knowledge and interest in those fields would enhance their business skill and improve the welfare.
As IDG has established a venture investment fund in Vietnam focusing on small and medium sized enterprises, Vietnamese businesswomen expressed the wish to receive loans for business expansion. Mrs. McGovern promised to help Vietnamese businesswomen access funds.
