Nam Ha Pharmaceutical: Strong Integration
With its strengths in three areas of production, distribution and import – export of medical products, Nam Ha Pharmaceutical JSC has increasingly affirmed its brand in the domestic market and got more steady steps on the regional and global integration path.
In its effort to put out highly competitive products, meeting consumers’ demand and integrating into regional and global markets, the company has invested much capital into upgrading the drug manufacturing factory to GMP-WHO standards in Nam Dinh city on a total area of over 25,000 sq.m. Regarding quality and reputation as first priorities, the company has so far had seven production lines which churn out over 200 medical products of all types. The company is currently home to a team of experienced and competent staff with university and post university degrees. Mr Doan Van Doi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says, “We pay special attention to production process. As such, besides making investment into facilities and equipment, the company establishes a technical group to supervise manufacturing and preservation process in order to guarantee product quality before distribution to the market.”
Overcoming difficulties of a state-owned enterprise transforming to a joint stock company, Nam Ha Pharmaceutical Company has made tireless efforts to maintain the annual growth rate of 20-30 percent. It has constructed a center for researching and developing new products in Thanh Tri (Hanoi) and established a product development department in Ho Chi Minh City…
Not only guaranteeing to provide adequate medicine for national medical programmes and hospitals in the province, the company has established its retail distribution network across the country. Moreover, many products of its have been exported to France, Myanmar and Russia… Mr Doi shares that in addition to developing Saigon market, providing offices and accommodation for employees, in the year of 2012, it will concentrate on another economic edge, i.e. export. A specialized department which helps the company to further develop and integrate into global market will be formed.
With endeavours of all the staff, the company annually gets its targets reached and surpassed. For instance, in 2011, it witnesses a turnover of more than VND 700 billion and a growth rate of 17 percent against 2010. In 2012, its turnover is estimated to exceed VND 750 billion. More importantly, product quality of Nam Ha Pharmaceutical Company is always stable. Many of its products have been awarded with Gold and Silver medals at exhibitions.
