North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry Visits HCM City

North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry once again brought a trade delegation to Ho Chi Minh City on October 5-8. This visit followed their successful missions to Vietnam in February and November 2003 when new partnerships between British and Vietnamese companies were established.

International Trade Director, Clive Drinkwater led the delegation and has been visiting Vietnam since 1991. The group was comprised of companies in the ceramic technology and building materials sectors, particular strengths of Staffordshire companies.

During their time in Vietnam, the delegation met with Vietnamese businessmen in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces, the partners to seek new business relationships in these sectors and the delegation wishes to stress that it is not merely looking to sell British products to Vietnam but to investigate long term meaningful relationships between the business communities in the two countries. Both Vietnam and the UK have a long history and experience in ceramics. UK technology has played a part in the great progress made by the Vietnamese ceramics industry in Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces.
