Workshop on Food Quality and Safety Regulations for Businesses
The Trade Policy Forum themed “Regulations on food quality and safety: Opportunities and challenges for Vietnamese businesses” is scheduled to take place on November 25, 2016 in Hanoi.
The vast majority of agricultural and food producers in Vietnam are small and medium size, with limited capital and technology for development. They thus have difficulty meeting the strict standard requirements of importing markets, as well as criteria and standards to gain preferential treatment from free trade agreements (FTAs) like Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and Vietnam-EU FTA (EVFTA).
The forum aims to support policymakers and the business community in Vietnam in general and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in particular to prepare knowledge and make active changes necessary to tap advantages as soon as FTAs take effect.
Participants to the forum include representatives of government trade and industry agencies, international organisations, industry associations and enterprises concerned.
Businesses interested in the forum please file registration to the SME Support Programme Management Unit, Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade. Address: 4th Floor, 20 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
