Largest Diesel Engine Plant Kicked off in Northern Vietnam
The Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company kicked off on February 16 the construction of Vietnam’s largest diesel engine manufacturing factory in the northern port city of Haiphong.
Located in the An Hong Industrial Zone, the plant has total investment of VND500 billion (US$31.6 million). VND243 billion (US$15.3 million) is borrowed from Italy as export credit loan.
The factory’s technological lines have been imported from Italy. The factory will supply two kinds of diesel engines: IF 1300 and IF 1700 to serve the domestic shipbuilding industry.
