The International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) was founded in 1993. The school is a non-denominational, co-educational and multicultural international school providing a broad based education in the English medium. Over 850 students from 35 nationalities attend the school that provides programmes of study from 2 years of age to 18 years of age. At present the school employs a faculty of 80 international teachers from diverse backgrounds, including from Australia.
Academic Accreditation:
The school has full accreditation from the Council of International School (CIS). The curriculum is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization and the school is recognized as an “IB World School”. ISHCMC has affiliations with and membership of the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas school, University of Cambridge International Examinations and Mekong River International School Association.
 
The School provides:
·         A challenging curriculum authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) to address individual needs.
·         A safe, caring environment for students of families who are constantly on the move.
·         Specialist teachers for Information Technology, Physical Education, Music, Drama, Art, English as an Additional Language and Special Educational Needs.
·         IGCSE curriculum through the University of Cambridge in Grades 9 and 10 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma curriculum in Grades 11 and 12. Students also take part in activities and enrichment programmes including community service, Student Representative Council, Model United Nations, sports, music and drama.
 
The School also provides:
·         A recently established bi-lingual programme for Vietnamese high school students at the City College Campus, 236 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia St, District 3. The City College Campus provides a programme of study based on A levels through the University of Cambridge and courses of the Vietnamese national curriculum.
 
The School’s facilities include:
Library/ Multi-Media Centre, Information Technology Centre, Science Laboratories, Drama Studio, Music Rooms, Art Rooms, Canteen, Clinic, Adventure Playground, Basketball / Volleyball Courts, Playing Field, Multi Purpose Auditorium and Swimming Pool.
The school has been graduating student with an International Baccalaureate Diploma qualification since the school year 1999 – 2000 and to date 126 students have graduated successfully to attend overseas universities, notably in United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and of course, Australia.
The international School Ho Chi Minh City is a well recognized school with an established tradition of serving students of the expatriate community and more recently, highly motivated Vietnamese high school students.
