VISSAN Becomes One-member Liability Limited Company
Vietnam Animal Products Export-Import Corporation (VISSAN) on November 20, 2006 held a ceremony to announce the Ho Chi Minh City government’s decision 4265/QD-UBND dated 21/9/2006 on converting it into a one-member liability limited company. This also fell on the 36th anniversary of VISSAN.
According to Mr. Bui Duc Huy, Director of VISSAN, the company has recently invested more than VND30 billion (US$1.88 million) to expand its retail network. As of November 2006, VISSAN had 31 shops in Ho Chi Minh City and 600 outlets nationwide. In the first nine months of 2006, VISSAN obtained a total turnover of VND1,520 billion (US$100 million), fulfilling 78 per cent of the annual target and representing an on-year increase of 21 per cent.
