Lilama Targets US$886Mln Production Value This Year
Vietnam Construction and Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama) has set a goal for production value of VND14.110 trillion (around US$886.7 million) in 2007.
The corporation aims for total revenue of VND8.578 trillion ($539.4 million) and pretax profit of VND130 billion ($8.17 million) in the year.
This year, Lilama will focus on implementing three key projects including the Expanded Uong Bi plants No. 1 and 2, Ca Mau thermal power plants No. 1 and 2, and Nhon Trach power plant No. 1.
Notably, the corporation in 2007 will construct Vung Ang thermal power plant No1 in the central province of Ha Tinh with combined capacity of 1,200 megawatts and total cost of VND19.99 trillion ($1.2 billion), as well as three cement projects, shipbuilding factory, a 21 story building and others.
Last year, Lilama carried out 30 basic construction projects worth an implemented capital of VND3.47 trillion, five times higher than 2005. It reported a production value of VND10.4 trillion, combined revenue of VND7.37 trillion and a pretax profit of VND79.3 billion in the year, up 11.4 per cent, 16.5 per cent and 23.5 per cent respectively against 2004.
