The Vietnam Urban and Industrial Zones Development Investment Corporation (IDICO) March 15 began to build Que Vo II Industrial Park (IP) at a total cost of VND490 billion (US$30.6 million), in northern Bac Ninh province.

Work on the IP covering 572.5 hectares in Que Vo district is scheduled for completion after three years.

Once operational, the IP will accommodate around 30-35 factories with a total investment capital of US$500 million and generate some 20,000-30,000 jobs.

The IP is among 14 projects totaling nearly VND10 trillion that IDICO has invested in the country.

Que Vo II Industrial Park is at a very favorable location as it is near Bac Ninh province’s big industrial parks and urban areas and particularly Hanoi-Quang Ninh expressway which has been prepared for construction soon.

The Saigon Telecommunications Company (Saigon Tel) March 13 started upgrading the Kinh Bac Information Technology Park to develop the park into Dai Dong-Hoan Son IP, with a total investment of US$87.5 million.

Currently, Bac Ninh has four operational IPs, namely Tien Son, Que Vo I, Dai Dong-Hoan Son, and Yen Phong. (Vietnam Economic Times)
