Vietnam, Laos Firms Open US$3.7 Bln Woodwork Plant in Laos
Vietnam’s Savimex JSC and Laos Champasak Woodwork Processing Factory have already opened the Champa-Savi Joint Venture with total investment of US$3.73 million in Champasak province.
The joint venture will focus on producing woodwork material and high-grade furniture for export to Japan and the U.S. markets. A small volume of 5 per cent will be available at Vietnam and Laos markets.
The Champa-Savi expected to notch up US$1 million-US$1.5 million revenues this year. (Vietnam Economic Times, The Youth)
