E-Payment Portal PayNet Launched in Vietnam

An online payment portal, PayNet, was officially made debut in Hanoi November 22, facilitating trading activities on e-commerce websites in Vietnam.

 

The new portal http://netcash.paynet.vn is made based on OpenWay’s Way4 technology, aiming to ensure the privacy and security for both sellers and buyers.

 

The gateway offering online accounts with private code number will allow customers to do online shopping. All the money that buyers put into the account will be deposited into banks after being transferred to sellers. All transactions will be followed up with an email or SMS mobile phone message, said PayNet chief executive officer, Nguyen Chien Thang.

 

Thang hoped that the portal will soon become a standard system and make an active contribution to enhancing the development of online payments in Vietnam,

 

He was very optimistic about the development of the online payment system in the country in the coming years as Vietnam now has over 60 million mobile subscribers, 15 million bank accounts and over 20 million internet users. (VNS, Vietnam Economic Times)
