Vietnam Firm Debuts Helicopter to Aid Oil & Gas Production in Central Region

Northern Service Flight Company, an affiliate of the Service Flight Corporation of Vietnam, debuted its new service July 22, which will use a helicopter to support oil and gas exploration and production at the VietnamGazprom oilrig, about 200 kilometers off the central region’s coastline.

 

The US$13-million helicopter named EC-155B1 is the most modern of its kind to date in Vietnam, the Youth newspaper reported.

 

Vietgazprom, the joint operating company of Gazprom and Petrovietnam, is exploring and producing oil and gas at six oilrigs in blocks 111-04, 112 and 113 offshore Vietnam’s central-northern region. (Youth, People’s Army)
