Nha Be Garment Co Invests US$3.077M to Expand Factory in Central Vietnam
Nha Be Garment Joint Stock Corp (NHABECO) kicked off the expansion of its factory in Hoai Nhon district’s Tam Quan town of central province of Binh Dinh, with an investment of VND52 billion (US$3.077 million).
The factory expansion is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
NHABECO, which has 27 affiliate units and companies, are employing more than 12,000 workers.
NHABECO together with several apparel makers such as Viet Tien and Sai Gon 3 recently said that they have won contracts to export their products through the end of 2009 and early 2010 after months of stagnant production due to lacking orders.
In the first six months of 2009, the apparel export value was down 1.3 per cent on-year to US$4.8 billion, but taking lead in terms of the six-month export turnover compared to other commodity items. (Young People)
