HCMC August CPI Likely to Rise 0.22% On-Month
The Ho Chi Minh City’s statistics department has just estimated that consumer price index (CPI) in August will likely be up 0.22%, up from July.
The department also estimated that CPI of the city between January and August will be up 8.74% from a year ago.
The slight hike in CPI of the city is attributed to drops in prices of foodstuff, drinks and tobacco and unchanged prices of post and telecom, healthcare and educational services, the department noted. (Youth Online)
