Vietnam Earns US$91.5M from Dry Seafood Exports in Jan-July

Vietnam exported 22,500 tons of dry seafood valued at US$91.5 million in the first seven months this year, up 26% in volume and 14.2% in value against the same period last year, estimated the Vietnam Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).
 
In the period, South Korea was the leading importer of Vietnamese dry seafood, the association said without giving any more figures.
 
The others include other members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), China, Japan, Ukraine, the U.S. and Russia.
 
Among the country’s seafood exports, dry seafood is the only commodity that recorded posted growth rate in both volume and value.
 
In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam exported 632,000 tons of seafood, earning US$2.2 billion, according to the association. (Labor)
