The Party Committee of Song Da 6 Joint Stock Company is affiliated with the Party Committee of Song Da Holdings. It consists of nine branches and six units with 320 members, accounting for 10-12 percent of total employees. In the past years, the Party Committee has promoted its roles of political nucleus and led the company to complete all production and business tasks and build up the Party and mass organisations.
Vanguard Party
The Party Committee of the company has clearly defined its leadership roles, objectives and tasks in a State-owned enterprise. In the company, Party members are also employees. They have to complete their working tasks as employees on the one hand and promote their exemplary vanguard roles as Party cadres on the other. If they can perform well on two fronts, the company will benefit most.
To do so, the Party Committee has worked out scientific and right operating lines. Mr Vu Quang Khai, Vice Party Secretary, said: “For us, assigning tasks to Party members is like granting employment contracts. If they can fulfil their tasks, they are good workers and Party members.”
In addition to educating politics, ideology and moral lifestyle, the Party Committee always encourages Party members to promote self-criticism and strive for better professional knowledge and skills. It creates favourable conditions for them to learn and practice to heighten professional capacity and political argument, builds and observes operating mechanism, particularly in relation with the Board of Directors and General Director. It introduces development strategies and resolutions to guide Party members to complete quarterly and annual production and business plans.
"Employees are a special property"
The Party Committee, the Board of Directors, executive bodies, and Party members properly perceive the role of workers and determine that "Employees are a special property." In addition to duties and powers, the Party Committee always cares about rights and interests of Party members because they cannot devote to their works if their lives are instable. Capable Party members are introduced to the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, General Director, and mass organisations and they are appointed to high positions in such units. Moreover, the company has pays attention to arts and sporting movements. Mr Pham Thanh Hoa, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the company, said: “Every year, we play football with other football teams in Song Da Holdings and our business partners. Women have household science competitions at their special events. Employees’ offspring with excellent study results are extolled throughout the company. Remarkably, in 2011, Luong Quang Trung - an employee and a member of Youth Union - was named the ‘excellent young worker’ by the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Vocational Training Association.
Mr Khai said the Party Committee of the Company now has over 300 Party members, accounting for 10-12 percent of total employees. It has been presented the Certificate of Appreciation for its performances by the Central Enterprise Party Committee.
After nearly 30 years of construction and development, Song Da 6 Joint Stock Company has been developed in all aspects. Its position is uplifted in both domestic and international markets.
With its tireless efforts, Song Da 6 Joint Stock Company has recently been honoured the Labour Hero in the renovation period and awarded the second-grade Independence Order. The Party Committee was also named the best in the class.
