Czech's Inekon Inks US$150Mln Deal for Cement Plant in Vietnam
The Czech Republic’s Inekon Group on Monday August 8 signed a credit contract to build a US$150 million cement factory in Vietnam with funding provided by the Czech Export Bank, a local media reported.
The plant will go on stream in three years, but its location and capacity are not revealed.
Machinery for the plant will be supplied by another Czech firm, the PSP Engineering.
Inekon CEO Josef Husek said this is one of several projects his company was currently holding talks in Vietnam and that it was a breakthrough in the area of complete plants.
Inekon is a Czech company that produces and sells rolling stock and chemicals, and exports complete plants.
According to Czech Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Martin Tlapa, Vietnam is one of the priorities for Czech companies.
The ministry plans to open a trade office in the country, he also revealed.
