Vietnam Logistics Sector Meets Only 25% of Local Demand
Vietnam’s logistics companies are small and medium-sized and have out-of-date technology, meeting just 30% of the local demand, said the Vietnam Freight Forwarders Association.
Up to 600 to 700 logistics companies are based in Ho Chi Minh City out of the country’s total number of 800-900.
Demand for logistics services is forecast to soar, contributing up to 15% of the country’s GDP in the coming years, experts said, adding that, more foreign firms are eager to enter the Vietnamese logistic market. (VNA)
