Viet Trung Co., Ltd: Worthwhile Investment

Viet Trung One Member Limited Liability Company is a leading light in Quang Binh province in terms of production expansion. The company annually produces and processes 3,000 - 3,500 tonnes of material rubber of international standard; grows 200 - 250 ha of rubber trees; tends 1,000 ha of rubber trees aged 1 - 6 years; produces more than 50,000 seedling rubber trees, and processes and exports 3,000 - 3,500 cubic metres of rubber timber.

 

In addition to its main production task of producing and processing latex for export, from 2005 to 2010, the company stepped into new business fields with a total investment of VND50 billion. To use up rubber timber cut each year, Viet Trung invested to build an export wood processing factory which created jobs for more than 400 local workers. After nearly six years of operation, the company's products have been exported to the United States, South Korea, Japan and some European countries, earning over US$1 million a year on average. It applied advanced sciences and technologies to the export wood processing factory to turn out high-quality wooden furniture and implemented the ISO 1999-2000 quality management system. It invested over VND2 billion to upgrade technological lines for its high-quality latex processing factory. Its latex product has been awarded the “Quality of Vietnam” Prize by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

 

The company sent its staff to training courses to improve their professional knowledge. At present, 56 managers and workers are attending higher education at universities and vocational schools. Each year, it spends some VND200 million on continued education for its staff.

 

Viet Trung organises biennial skill contests in praise of excellent workers and with the purpose of uplifting the professional level of its staff. Up to 95 percent of latex workers join these contests; hence, these events have become a foundation for the company to stimulate working spirit among the staff.
