Vietnam's CPI Growth Likely to Reach 0.4-0.5 per cent in October
Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) in October is forecast to rise between 0.4 per cent and 0.5 per cent from the previous month, according to the statement released recently by the Ministry of Trade.
The commodities prices will fluctuate inconsiderably in the month, but they will climb up slightly, the ministry said.
The gasoline prices are predicted to trade at around US$65 per barrel, and steel ingot is priced at less than US$400 per ton. Meanwhile, prices of agricultural products such as rice, sugar, rubber and coffee are calculated to continue staying at high levels.
The ministry expects the CPI will stand at 7.2-7.3 per cent for the first ten months of this year.
