The school, born out of the amalgamation of Go Cong Vocational Intermediate School and Go Cong Polytechnic Intermediate School in accordance with Decision 537/QD-UBND on February 22, 2019, faced challenges after the merger, particularly with a deteriorating second facility. However, the school surmounted these obstacles, accomplishing the vocational education tasks with remarkable success and garnering numerous accolades.

In the academic year 2022-2023, the school proactively and effectively revamped teaching methodologies, aligning them with students' characteristics and real-world situations. This approach ensures the comprehensive development of students, molding their personalities and honing their professional skills in line with educational and vocational training objectives.

Additionally, the system offers industrial sewing machine repair training for seven dedicated trainees.

In 2023, Go Cong Vocational Intermediate School sent eight representatives to the 9th Tien Giang Vocational Teacher Conference held at Tien Giang College and Tien Giang Medical College. The school's dedication bore fruit, securing three third prizes and five consolation prizes.
