Vietnam was estimated to have reaped US$802 million from exporting machines, equipment and spare parts in the first half of this year, down 4.1 per cent on-year, said the Government’s General Statistics Office (GSO) Tuesday.
In June, the total export value of these products was estimated at US$140 million, up 4.478 per cent on-month.
The country had expected total import spending on these products to fall 19.2 per cent on-year to US$5.340 billion.
In June, Vietnam’s machines, equipment and spare parts imports stood at US$950 million, down 3.61 per cent on-month. (GSO Jun 2009)
