U.S. Business Firms to Seek Opportunities in Vietnam in May

A delegation of companies from the northern central U.S. state of Minnesota will visit Vietnam from May 7-15 to seek trade opportunities and partners in Vietnam.
 
The Minnesota Trade Organization (MTO) said that during their first mission to Vietnam, the companies will attend workshops on the Vietnamese government’s policies and the country’s business potentials. They will also meet local firms to seek potential cooperation.
 
The U.S.’s companies invested US$9.8 billion in Vietnam in 2009, ranking the first among foreign investors in the country in the year, the Ministry of Planning and Investment said.
 
Trade between Vietnam and the U.S. hit US$14 billion last year. (VNA)
