Trade between Vietnam and Mexico is predicted to surge to $1 billion in the next years from $716 million in 2009.
Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh released his forecast during his two-day visit to Mexico ended May 8.
Vietnam exported over $600 million worth of goods to Mexico and reported a trade surplus of nearly $484 million during the year.
Apparel, footwear, seafood, woodwork products, printers and sportswear were Vietnam’s export staples and its main imports were pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronic spare parts, steel scraps. (VNA)
