Vietnam Airlines launched a 50 % airfare discount for domestic flights on September 6. Routes on the promotion include Hanoi – Vinh, Ho Chi Minh City/ Phu Quoc - Can Tho/ Rach Gia, Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang/ Da Lat, Hanoi/ Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang/ Hue/ Tam Ky, Da Nang - Da Lat, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City/ Buon Ma Thuot/ Da Lat/ Nha Trang/ Quy Nhon/ Tuy Hoa/ Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh/ Hai Phong/ Dong Hoi.
Under the programme, passengers travelling from September 9 to October 30 will be offered a discount fare from VND400,000 (US$20) to VND 860,000 (US$43) for different routes. The programme will affect 350,000 seats.
This is one of the biggest promotions launched by Vietnam Airlines in 2010 to diversify airfares and boost domestic tourism.
