The second energy conservation and renewable energy exhibition (ECON EXPO 2010), featuring energy-efficient products and renewable energies, is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 25-28.
The event is expected to offer 300 booths for nearly 250 domestic and foreign exhibitors to showcase their renewable energy and energy efficient products, services, solutions and initiatives for industries, buildings, household utensils, transport, construction and lighting.
During the exhibition, several conferences on financial supports for energy-saving investments will be opened. In addition, many investment promotion activities will be organised for domestic and foreign enterprises.
Mr Huynh Kim Tuoc, Director of HCM City’s Energy Conservation Centre, said in 2010, the 6.8 % year-on-year increase in electricity prices in 2010 is encouraging more people and businesses to think about energy-saving measures. Thus, the exhibition will promote the transfer of energy saving technologies and public awareness of energy-saving products.
