On September 16, 2011, Habitat for Humanity Vietnam announced its another successful completion of a home built by volunteers and staff from Bunge Vietnam. This time, Bunge Vietnam’s staff joined hands with Habitat Vietnam to complete a house for a low-income family in Hamlet 11, Thu Thua Town, Long An province – an area of high housing need for the poor.

After days, over 10 volunteers worked side by side to build a simple but decent house. Mr Christopher White, CEO of Bunge Vietnam said: “It is our great pleasure to join hand with Habitat Vietnam in its Global Village progam. This new house is a gift for Bunge’s volunteers, a gift for all of us and a special gift for home owner Nguyen Thi Hong Loan”.

Homeowner Nguyen Thi Hong Loan was delighted with this new home: “thanks to Habitat and Bunge’s volunteers, my family has a safe place to live”, she said.
The new home is also the 8th one built by Habitat Vietnam and its partners in Long An Province.
